ABOUT
Walking Together
The journey of unlearning an exclusive gospel is rarely a short one, and it is never easier when travelled alone. After more than a decade of living and thinking outside of the traditional religious system, I have found that it takes a great deal of time to even begin to recognise the 'Western-flavoured' shadows that have shaped our image of the Father.
This space exists because I believe it's easier when we walk with one another and to share the resources that have helped us - the voices of the early Fathers and contemporary thinkers and theologians who have helped us strip away the fear - and to offer a hand to those still navigating the earlier, more treacherous parts of their own deconstruction.
I am not a paid pastor or professional clergy; I am a fellow traveller, working a day job in Durban, who has found that the Father’s love is profoundly wider, kinder, and more unconditional than we were ever taught in the Western version of modern Christianity.
If you are just starting to question the 'wrath and judgment' narrative, or if you are simply looking for a place to sit with these questions, you are welcome here. Let’s help each other walk the road back home.
